The sculptor has been working in Holland since the end of the sixties. He now lives in Finland . In 1969 he received his first commission to make an environmental work. It was an enclosed garden for the DSW plant in Dordrecht, Holland. Since then he has carried out various site specific works, not assuming that there is merely one approach to a problem.

Some works complement their surroundings, others create a new environment in themselves. In some instances, as is the case with his own studio, the evident functional requirements are a new challenge for him.
